The Afro-Caribbean Community seeks to raise the profile of African Canadian, African, and Caribbean Catholics in the parish and in the Archdiocese of Toronto. Members of the group gather to share their gifts and talents through various ministries and activities. All are welcome.
All-Inclusive Ministries is a group of LGBT persons which seeks to welcome all people. The group holds a mass at Our Lady of Lourdes at 7pm on the fourth Saturday of each month, followed by fellowship.
The Our Lady of Lourdes chapter of the Catholic Women’s League (CWL) calls its members to grow in faith and to witness to the love of God through ministry and service. CWL meets every second Sunday of the month, 11:00am-12:30pm from September to June.
Are you interested in learning about Christian meditation? We have a group at Lourdes who meets weekly, on Friday mornings from 10:30am to noon in Loyola Hall, to pray in silence together. We welcome all who might be interested in deepening their prayer life in this way.
The Our Lady of Lourdes Charismatic Prayer Group serves and supports one another as well as Parish activities, through prayer, Life in the Spirit Seminars and community service, such as visiting the sick. Regular meetings are held every Friday at 6:30pm. Mass in the Charismatic Tradition is held on every first Friday of the month at 7:30pm.
Couples for Christ (CFC) is an international Catholic lay movement intended for the renewal and strengthening of Christian family life. CFC holds 12-week Christian Life Programs at Our Lady of Lourdes, which consists of teaching, group discussion, and time for fellowship.
CFC Singles for Christ aims to provide a Christian support environment for single men and women who are at the crossroads of their state of life, choosing between marriage, a religious vocation, or single blessedness. Singles for Christ runs 12-week Christian Life Programs on most Saturday evenings 6pm-9pm in the Spring and Fall each year.
The Our Lady of Lourdes chapter of Development & Peace (D&P) advocates for social justice issues in the developing world. D&P welcomes parishioners to attend its events and monthly meetings. D&P meets on the 3rd Monday of each month, 6-8 pm, except for June, July and August.
Handmaids of the Lord aims to provide a Christian support environment for single mature women. This includes unmarried women, widows, those separated or divorced, single parents, wives of overseas workers, and those whose husbands are incapacitated or in prison.
The Legion of Mary is an international association of Catholics who, with the sanction of the Church and under the powerful leadership of Mary, do spiritual works of mercy by visiting the sick and imprisoned, as well as fallen away Catholics. Legion of Mary sponsors Rosary marches and evangelizes the Catholic faith by going door-to-door.
Our chapter of the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul offers short-term assistance to Torontonians in need. The Society provides emergency assistance such as food vouchers, new or gently-used clothing, furniture and household items. Members also give friendship, guidance and referrals to enable individuals and families to improve their situations through community programs and parish involvement. The Society also helps youth to attend overnight camp in the summer.
