What is the Eucharist?

The Eucharist is the source and summit of our faith as Catholics. It is the most powerful way that we encounter the real presence of Jesus Christ. The Eucharist is a ritual in which, by the power of the Holy Spirit, bread and wine are transformed into the Body and Blood of Christ. We who celebrate are also transformed, becoming Christ’s presence to others while recognizing Christ’s presence in them.

It is also known as Adoration. At Our Lady of Lourdes, there is Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament every first Friday of the month from 8:30am to 7:30pm.
