What is Anointing of the Sick?
In the love of God the Father, Jesus Christ has come to heal the whole human person, soul and body. Anointing of the Sick, along with Reconciliation, is one of the Sacraments of Healing. When the priest administers this Sacrament, the sick person receives a strengthening of faith and the gift of being united more closely to Christ in his Passion.
